I will tell you all the scores that I had with NMAT.
NMAT is the National Medical Admission Test.
I already took three NMAT exams since 2012.
- 62 (2012)
- 1 (201*) Can’t recall the year 2013 or 2014 siguro
- 38 (2017)
My first percentile score with NMAT was 62 in 2012. I enrolled at the BRAINS review center, somewhere in Quezon Ave, where I met Eunice Lim, who shared to me books about temperaments. I was also taught by a grade school classmate, who topped the Pharmacy Board Licensure Exam and ranked first, his name is Prof. Henson B. Turalde. He tutored me for free. He is really smart. I want to pay him though, maybe thank him if we see each other again. I tried to apply at UP College of Medicine, UERM and also San Beda. UP did not accept my grade since they wanted the scores to be 99, as what I have heard. UERM’s cut of score was higher than 62, so I was not accepted, they offered me an option of sending a letter to them requesting to be admitted and reconsider my score but I did not do it. Instead, I went to San Beda.
My second score with NMAT. Guess? It was 1. It was I think 2014 if I am not mistaken, just before I enrolled at San Beda. Hahaha. How embarrassing. I had no review or whatsoever. I am just glad that San Beda still accepted me even though my grade was 1. I have presented my first NMAT score to them too, so maybe that’s the reason that they have accepted me. They have let me study, so I am very thankful. However, I did not finish. I took a leave of absence.
My third NMAT percentile rank score was 38, just before I took my second time of studying Medicine at San Beda University. They accepted me so I am thankful. However, I failed first year. That’s the reason why I left.
So, I would be taking my 4th NMAT exam this November. I just don’t know the outcome of this.
The three schools that I placed in my choice of schools for this NMAT:
- St. Louis University, Baguio
- Metropolitan College, Manila
- Emilio Aguinaldo College of Medicine along Taft Avenue
But deep in my heart, I want to place there:
- UP College of Medicine
- St. Luke’s College of Medicine
- Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health
So, yun lang. I don’t know what to do with my life anymore. Hindi ko alam bakit binabalik balikan ko pa rin. Hahaha. Wish me luck! Thank you.
